"I am Orange today..."

Pardon the throwback to the Dell commercial...My 4 year old loves that song!
Kiska's wedding was at Log Haven. As you can see, lots of orange (with gray accents). Gorgeous platinum crushed runners by Dwell Designs. Some features of her wedding to point out: Galvanized tin pails along the aisle with a platinum chiffon swag along the ceremony balcony, deconstructed bridesmaid bouquets, and varied table designs.

Romance...

Megan is an artist. There's something about working with artists that can be a lot of fun -- they tend to put quite a bit of thought into details and really value the function of color and texture. Megan brought a slew of her own vases to her consultation for inspiration which immediately set the stage for her designs. If I had to describe it, I'd say the feeling of her wedding was antique-romantic, almost English Garden. It felt very soft to me and really appealed to my feminine side. I really enjoy working with different containers and give Megan props for doing such a great job finding a solid variety of vases. They definitely made the event!

Stephanie at Snowbasin

I've been reminded a few times in the last couple days just how behind I am in blogging, so I'm going to oblige by posting a few pics from today.

Stephanie's gorgeous wedding reception was held at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville. The event definitely made it into that "spectacular" category! The thing that bothers me about the photos I take (and blogging for that matter) is that as a reader, you can't adequately grasp the scale and feel of an event from a few measly pictures. This is definitely one of those times where I wish you all could have been there to experience the texture and color and overall grandness of the event. When you saw it as a whole, it was breathtaking! I'm excited to see more of it from the talented Rebekah Westover later on -- she's sure to do an amazing job of portraying the exquisiteness of Stephanie's day. For now, here are a few shots I took as we were running out the door this evening. The color scheme was primarily green with cream and orange accents. She had 5 designs spread among her 21 guest tables...tall, low, elaborate, and fun. Flowers we used? Too many to name! Enjoy!

It was quite an undertaking to prep for this enormous wedding. It took three long days to complete the arranging. Special thanks to Kathy, Jessica, and Kate who did a great job not only putting these flowers together, but who also put up with me and made the long trek up to the resort to put the finishing touches on our client's beautiful day!

Jana Revisited

Jana sent over photos from her photographer Melanie Paxton this weekend. I almost wish there were more photos of the bride to show -- she's a knock-out! Cake done by Cakes by Dawna
