Overlook at the Ridge

Stacy and Nathan were married at Westridge Golf Course this evening. It could not have been more gorgeous outside today! The theme was very romantic so we used a variety of flowers to create soft texture. (Titanic, Sweet Akito, and Vendela roses, freesia, lisianthus, bouvardia, mini calla lilies, chocolate cosmos, fern curls, snapdragons, bells-of-Ireland, and various greens) It was a great wedding to ease me back into things!

Nicole and Tyler Revisited

I thought I'd post some of the professional pics from Nicole and Tyler's wedding in August (23rd Floor). The first six photos were provided by Rebekah Westover, and the last three were done by Kate Benson Photography. Kate provided some initial shots right after the wedding that I posted in August and decided not to repost for the sake of time. Refer back to that post if you'd like to see those photos as well as photos of the centerpieces/reception.

Kate and Rebekah each do phenomenal work. Nicole was so lucky to have both be a part of her wedding day!

Kathy's work

Kathy did her first solo wedding for a friend the day Sam was born. All white -- very tricky for a first go-around! She's one of the gutsiest people I know... Kathy also put together this focal piece for another occasion this weekend. I'm totally in love with the color scheme! It's so reminiscent of late fall... Just beautiful!

Introducing the newest addition to Whimsy...

He's finally here!

I'm 2 weeks late in posting this little announcement, but given the circumstances, I hope you all can forgive me. Sam was born October 5 at 9:16 PM. He was 7 lbs., 3 oz. and looked exactly like his big brother, Jonah (who's so excited to finally have a sibling to share his parents with). He's a little over 2 weeks old now and is just the sweetest, most mild little guy -- more like his dad than me, I guess. It's been fun having a baby around the house again which makes the exhaustion worth it. Thanks to everyone who's been checking in. I appreciate your concern and support!

Just a reminder that we're still scheduling event consultations, though available slots will be limited to Saturdays and some weekday evenings for the next little while. Any questions, feel free to call or email.

Take care!

Michelle's first solo flight

I've mentioned before that one of our team members, Michelle, is also a part-time wedding coordinator. Last week as I was busy executing our final weddings of the season (and doing a really good job at being hugely pregnant and tired at the same time), Michelle took on the enormous job of not only coordinating all the details of her friend's wedding, but also assuming responsibility of all the floral design as well. This was her first time flying solo and she did a fantastic job! I couldn't be prouder!

The reception was held at The Mill at Tracy Aviary and went off without a hitch. Interested in perhaps hiring a coordinator or even just finding out what one can do for you? Email Michelle at sunnydee53@hotmail.com.
