Oranges and Greens

This weekend was all about orange and green. Our event wasn't a wedding so there are no bouquets to be shown (by the way, I've been getting flack for showing a lot of bouquets and not many centerpieces, so I apologize and will do better in the future), but a variety of simple, happy centerpieces to set the mood. In one arrangement, we have Milva roses with a variety of gerbera daisies, salal, bupleurum, and a touch of waxflower. In the other we've got Milva Roses, kermit poms, and a lime green ribbon treatment. There were also funky bud vases with orange mini gerbs and pomanders of kermits... fun and casual -- something to brighten up these dreary spring days.

This weekend we've got Jordan's wedding in Provo. Peaches, pale yellows, and creams with lots of pearl accents -- a color scheme we haven't seen in a while.

Have a fantastic week!

Anna's bridal show arrangement

I stole these images off of Anna's blog (but is it really stealing if she suggested I do it?). They're photos of her booth and the arrangement I provided for it on Saturday. Sounds like she had a good show -- so glad to hear it!

Thanks for the shots, Anna!

Weddings of the weekend

Anna came early this morning to pick up her arrangement for the bridal show. I was afraid it wouldn't fit in her car. She said "big," and I took her literally. I'm hoping the day was a successful one for her. I have watched her work evolve dramatically just in the last six months and am excited to see how things go for her this year. When she gets me a photo of the piece, I'll post it.

On to this weekend's weddings --

Debbie and Neal were on Friday. Lots of red roses, with accents of white mini callas, bright green snowballs, and seeded eucalyptus. Clean, elegant. I'm attaching a quick photo I took of her bouquet.

Sam and Lindsay were today. I just loved how her bouquet turned out. Royal purple lisianthus, white and purple freesia, vendela roses, purple lilacs, seeded eucalyptus, waxflower...all finished off with a royal purple ribbon wrap (which you can't see in the photo). Very English garden -- lots of texture.

It was a gorgeous day today. Great day to get married in my book. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Updates all around...

I apologize for the drama last week. I could explain all the domain propagation mumbo-jumbo, but I'll spare you all the details. The good news is, everything is fine and up and running now, so if you haven't made the trip to see the new site, now's a good time!

It's going to be a busy weekend for us here. We've got Debbie and Neal's wedding tomorrow at the SL temple and the U's Commander House, and Sam and Lindsay's wedding on Saturday at the Bountiful temple and The Point...and if that weren't enough, we're making a nice, big arrangement for Anna Page's booth at the bridal show in Provo on Saturday as well (go say hi to her!). I'll post pictures if I have time to take any!

An update on scheduling since our calendar has changed a bit: We were planning on being out of town the first week of July so up to this point we haven't been accepting any consultations for the 1st through the 7th. We decided to move our trip to May so the first week of July is now open for the taking. We've already got a couple consultations for those dates scheduled for next week, but for the time being, the coveted 7-7-07 is unbooked. Did you know that's supposed to be the most popular wedding date of the year? Has something to do with ancient Chinese luck, I read somewhere...

I thought I'd include a couple photos that Anna took of that bouquet I did for her client's bridals a month or so ago. Enjoy!

Stop the Presses!

I'm not sure if a retraction is in order...this stuff is still pretty confusing to me. Apparently our new site is showing up on some computers, but others are still pulling up the old site. That makes absolutely no sense to me! So for the moment, you may or may not be able to get to the new site. Check back if that's the case, and I'll make a new post when I can get this all figured out with our new hosting company.

Thanks!

Our new site is up and running!

Well its finally up. Our new website went live this evening and while I'm a little nervous about whether or not our clients will approve (always the people pleaser at heart), its sure an improvement from our previous site. Again, we're having some issues with the HTML side of the site so look for that to appear in a couple weeks. I apologize if its slow for those of you that don't have high speed access... Special thanks to Anna Page Wheeler for her last minute moral support this morning!

While I'm short on time and don't have the opportunity to go into detail about this one, I'm attaching a few unedited photos of today's wedding at The Old Meeting House. Pinks and oranges, roses and gerbera daisies... Spunky and fun.

Check out the new site. Let us know what you think!
